SNAP
SNAP (Symbiosis National Aptitude Test) is a national-level MBA entrance test conducted by Symbiosis International (Deemed) University. It is a mandatory online test for admission to various postgraduate programs offered by the university's affiliated institutes. The test measures a candidate's aptitude in General English, Quantitative-Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency, and Analytical & Logical Reasoning.
The eligibility criteria for SNAP include a Bachelor's degree from any recognised University, with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST). Candidates in their final year of graduation can also apply, but their admission will be subject to obtaining a minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying examination.
One of the key features of SNAP is the exam pattern. The test is conducted online and the total duration is 120 minutes. There is a negative marking of 25% for each wrong answer. The test is generally held in December every year.
SNAP scores are accepted by 15 institutes under Symbiosis International (Deemed) University. These institutes offer a variety of specialized MBA programs, such as MBA in Innovation and Entrepreneurship, MBA in International Business, MBA in Telecom Management, and many more. Each institute has its own selection process, but generally, it includes a Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Exercise (GE), and Personal Interaction (PI) round, post the SNAP test.
